Is the NFC still better than the AFC?

The NFC is 14-11-1 this season against the AFC, but in terms of "great" teams, even good teams, it seems like the gap is a lot closer than last year.
Teams like New Orleans, Seattle, Green Bay, and San Francisco have all taken steps backwards this year. Atlanta and Chicago have underachieved thus far too.
In the AFC, you have Baltimore and San Diego rising up, as well as Denver and New England still at the top. Dallas and Arizona have been a great surprises for the NFC, but time will tell if they can keep this up.
What says the MSB? IMO the NFC is still slightly better, but definitely not to the extent that it was last season.

still to early to tell. Unfortunately, I think the Eagles are going to fall a bit but they should still win the division because Dallas is Dallas, but that won't help the NFC's case.
The two best teams are still SEA and DEN in my opinion

San Francisco
I expected a 5-3 start with the injuries and suspension. Should be full strength for the 2nd half of the season, and REALLY hard to stop.

wat
Still a LOT of season left. Especially for Green Bay, notorious for finishing hot.

The Lions have played well on D, but had a bad loss @CAR and a WTF loss to BUF.
The game vs NO Sunday will be huge, then
@ATL (London)
MIA
@AZ
@NE
CHI (Thanksgiving)
TB
MIN
@CHI
@GB
Got some favorable games there as well

quote:Only one of these teams has taken a significant step back, one marginal step back from greatness, the other two on-par with last year. Cardinals look great, Cowboys, Eagles, and Lions good. The NFC is still stacked, it's just the South dragging it down.

AFC have closed the gap though - Chargers being the most significant riser

How do you figure? They have the same record as last year at this time and look better through 6 games

Yeah plus SF is on a 3 game winning streak. Seattle's losses are to teams that are 10-2 combined right now
