Anthony Jennings Fumble

Did anyone notice that when AJ went to spike the ball against UF with a few seconds left he actually fumbled the ball. I watched it a few times and it really appears as though he never had full control over the ball. It seems as though a lot of qb's are sort of lazily letting the ball hit their hands and then the ground in this situation. I saw this called in a diff college game last week, and the play was reviewed and called a fumble.
I sort of equate it to the phenomenon where players were tossing the ball to the official before crossing the goal line.

He didn't fumble it. It hit a linemans leg when he went to spike it.

Kinda looked like a fumble to me as well.

Didn't really matter the fullback picked up.

I just watched it. Not even close. He clearly has it, brings it up, and spikes it straight down. It just hit the linemans legs.

Referee's discretion, and he blew the whistle.

Yeah but with no timeouts the game goes to OT.

It doesn't matter because it wasn't a fumble.

Oh, ok, problem solved...thanks for pointing that out. But before you typed that, did you at least pause to think why we were scrambling to spike the fricking thing in the first place?
Who cares who recovered it! We had no timeouts left cause we spent one trying to figure out how to sneak a 12th man into the huddle without the refs noticing.

LSU was scrambling to spike the ball?

Whatever, he didn't fumble. I'm not the biggest fan but good grief.

Add it to your list, Jp1LSU is a Florida fan who pretends to be an LSU fan to post negative messages on this board. You would think he would have actual things to do other than spending his valuable time on Earth impersonating a fan of another team making snarky anonymous internet chat room posts.

Once they put 10 seconds back on the clock he could have just taken his time.

Should have been called illegal touching becausethe pass hit an ineligible receiver.
