Loftin ceramic oyster shells: tried them?

I saw an article on Al.com about these Louisiana vendors at the Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores hawking ceramic, reusable, dishwasher-safe oyster shells.
Looks like they want $65 a dozen, plus shipping for orders under $99. LINK
They better be incredible for that price, especially when those steel ones are half or less the price.
Any of you tried them?

That's a little too steep for me. I have the SOS shells and they work fine for half that price

I'm getting a couple Cast Iron oyster pans. Sur la Table has them for $39.99. They will for damn sure out live me.

They better give blow jobs and make coffee for that price.

I have the SOS shells, also. They're great. Been giving them as gifts to folks who really like them.

Seen some at the LA Seafood Fest called Theoysterbed.com looked well thought out but to bulky

My dad took about 3 dozen ouster shells and let them sit in bleach for about a week or so, then threw em in the dishwasher. They work just fine. And to wash them we just put them back in the dishwasher
