We have 2 yard cats that take care of most of the "rodents." I'm not worried about the snakes being killed off. If I don't kill them, I have to listen to my SO bitch anytime she sees one.

That's about the only snake I would keep around then..I haven't seen any around though. There has to be a nest of garters around..I've killed at least 12 of them since buying the house in June.
