It might be refreshing to hear the progress of the men basketball team so far. Their season is starting soon with possible three new starters. Anybody with inside info will be appreciated.

This team could very well lead the SEC in scoring and rebounding. Also look for the FT average to be much improved with the new guards leading the way.

We're not competing with UK. You just hope with all that talent they have some disgruntled players not getting minutes.
Really excited with the Musselman hire, don't think he's long term but for Jones to be successful he needs that good X/O coach on the bench and I think he has that now!

Practice started Wednesday. It's not just a possibility of 3 new starters. There will be 3 new starters with Stringer, JOBIII and Hickey gone.
I'm sure Jones will try some different line ups throughout the OOC schedule, but I suspect we'll see this line up:
PG - Gray
SG - Hornsby
SF - Martin
PF - Mickey
C - Robinson
If LSU wants to get out and run they could have a very versatile and athletic line up of
PG - Gray
SG - Hornsby
F - Quarterman
F - Martin
F - Mickey
Just from reading a bit and looking at a few photos it looks like Martin trimmed down and toned-up a bit; and Robinson has lost a ton of weight.

Yeah, Jarell and Big Elbert are looking lean and mean. I'm hoping Bridgewater can get us some solid minutes when we want to a little smaller. I like the potential versatility of our front court.

No offense but that means less than you think. LSU's tallest starter last season was 6'9" and they actually led the SEC in defensive rebounds. Should be much improved this season.

Kentucky is going to destroy us, other than that we have a chance against anybody on our schedule.
Kentucky will be legendary this year.

I'm attending a practice next week. Hope to see much improvement on defensive end of floor. Offense should be no problem with this group. Anxious to see what Musselman has done with X&O's
