Les's agent doing work. Gonna job Alleva out of a few more $$$/few more years once again.

Im cool with this sign him up for just 5 more and make him the highest and have a $100 million buyout. Pay Miles so much he gives the ok for the buyout and the 5 yrs.

He should be the highest paid with all the crap he has dealt with at LSU. And currently dealing with. If the guy was a weaker recruiter but perfect on game day some of u would think he's a great coach. He's weak on game day and talking to the media. One of which is irrelevant. He scores well in EVERY other category. The risky and I mean the big risk is changing head coaches.
Go ahead roll the dice.

Miles is on the verge of having another NCG caliber team next year at LSU. If he leaves, it think it could be potentially devastating for the program. Like Pre-DiNardo days.

Miles should take the Michigan job if offered this time around. Here's why: His recruiting in Louisiana is dropping a bit, especially on the lines. The 2013 and 2014 classes were really good, but 2012 was terrible and 2015 looks pretty bad. Everyone is trying to poach out of Louisiana. The SEC West is a bloodbath and Miles' form of football does not match the style of play here anymore. He can go to Michigan, play his style of football, and go 9-3 or 10-2 every year without even trying. They play no one. He can go to the Rose Bowl over and over and he has a better route to the Playoff every 3-4 years. He would recruit really well because he has the SEC pedigree to bring into homes all over the Midwest. AND, he has the connections in the South for players that SEC teams miss. It would have been a bad move in 2007 and in 2010, but it would be a great move for him now. Plus, he is running out of steam here at LSU. Change can be good for everyone once in a while. I say all of this without real animosity towards Miles. I am just saying that the reasons for staying in the past have evaporated. He would be more successful at Michigan now than he would have been in the past. He loses his OLine this year at LSU and the once great 2015 run that we have all been looking forward to seems to be a longshot since our OLine and DLine play will be even worse next year than it is this year. You can't compete in the SEC with that. If Miles is smart, he will take the chance to get out.

Type that up and leave it in his mailbox.

Rex is spot on. Miles will pull the Urban Meyer. Go into a tier 1 school that has been down. My word, and the $ wow does it get better than this in the profession? He has a much better story than Urban. Miles doesnt have to lie and be a total fraud. he wouldnt do it, if that were the case. He's going back to save Michigan Football. Hell he may be the King of Michigan, if he does it. The appreciation he gets down here. If he made 2 Final Fours in a row, the first time he made a game day mistake this board would want him gone. Up there he can just win the Big 10 every 4-5 years and be respected.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. He gets the players and the OC to run a spread system, yet still insists on running the I-formation over and over.

I've supported him time and again, but it's become apparent now that the rest of the SEC is passing him by while he's just sitting on his hands. The other issue is that it seems like he HAS to have great coordinators to be successful. You can only live like that for so long because if your assistants are good enough, greener pastures will come calling. Whether it be offensive or defensive prowess, an HC has to bring his own skill set to the table. The fact is, no one really knows what, specifically, he offers in that regard. He's supposed to be an OL guy, but that's clearly not the case. I just don't think the 'CEO' approach will work anymore.

If Miles does leave, it will be for one main reason: he is continuously disrespected and unappreciated by the spoiled bandwagon LSU fan base.

Oh, it probably will. I am not advocating him leaving and we could go out and make a terrible hire. I am saying that he would be smart to leave this time. Even if he fails at Michigan, it will be considered because of Michigan and not because of him.

It just makes sense this time.

I am actually thinking about what is best for Miles.

Isn't there a huge buyout in his contract? Maybe even something specific to Michigan? I remember hearing something along those lines but I'm not 100% sure.
