These clips are taken from 2 games on the first week of the football season. The first 2 are Kenny Hill's first 2 passes of the South Carolina game, where he was making his first ever start in a hostile environment. The last comes from Blake Sims' first play where he was also making his first ever start. Is our offense like A&M? No. Is Brandon Harris a senior? No. However, the concept is that these are perhaps the easiest throws in football and they get the QB calm and comfortable throwing the football. We have the athletes on the field to make people miss and break tackles. I don't care who is throwing the ball out there to those guys, but lets at least do it. If nothing else it creates more of a threat of a pass. 2v2 outside is a better matchup for the offense than 9v9 in the box.

I agree

but I think a big problem as well is that LSU has used these plays and the blocking never seems to transpire.

I think we've already seen 4-5 WR or RB screens where the blocking was piss awful.

We did run some plays like this (not of the gate though) and Harris threw it 6 feet over the receiver's head

I think everybody apart from out staff agrees with the premise of the OP. Why we didn't with Jennings earlier and Harris last weekend I have no idea.

Excellent post and that is exactly what I think a lot of us have been saying. Give the LSU QBs some easy passes to start off with, Quick Slants, Quick Outs, Pop Passes across the middle dare I say it to the Tight ends and let them build some confidence. Like the other poster said , I know Harris was high on some throws against Auburn but you have to keep with these quick passes and I believe the accuracy will come.

Pretty sure Harris missed a screen, a crossing route, and a few short comebacks
