misdirection runs, misdirection play action pass, bubble screens, etc.
All of these can be run out of the pro sets we line up in most of the time, but we never see any of these plays. All of these should be safe plays for a young QB to execute while simultaneously showing a little unpredictability on offense.
It just doesn't make any damn sense for the offensive playcalling to be this damn bad.

"What are plays LSU never runs" alex

I think it's a case of a stubborn coach trying to establish a play to set up the other plays
If the dive was working with more success you might see them set up the other plays
It's ironic and stupid but some coach have the mentality that you have to establish success out of your base package before you can move on to other things

Well, Cam can draw up any play he wants, but if the head coach doesn't like it, you won't see it. Thinking the team is talented enough to win by just lining up and running base plays is not going to work. We need to exploit the soft areas of our opponents and stop thinking we are going to win with basic shite.

After I read this from Les's presser yesterday:
I could only go:
I don't think it is possible for our play-calling to be anymore impaired than it already is!
quote:
He's trying to make some of the best calls he can make with vision of the field, and I think without that vision it would impair the call more.”

hooks, curls, drags, crossing routes...
all plays cam cameron has run at other stops as OC and HC
we just never see them at LSU. it's either running up the middle, or chunking it 25-40 yards downfield.
the short passing game is nonexistent

We run a lot of that stuff, just not frequently enough , or not well enough. Our RB screen game is trash. You get 2-3 OL out front to block, and they never hit anyone. We've had some success on bootlegs, but a whole lot of drops or qbs making bad throws/ bad decisions on who to throw to.
Draws would be nice, I think those left when Kragthorpe stopped being on staff. We had a nice fake screen/ draw play out of the I in 2011.

I don't understand why we literally haven't run 1 of these plays.

Nebraska offense of mid-1990s...imagine with a better QB than Frost or Crouch not too much option with a little more passing.

I've been begging for a naked bootleg for 10 years. IT ALWAYS WORKS. If on first down from the 2 against MSU, Jenning runs a bootleg, he scores. Alabama scores half of their inside the 10 yard line TDs this way. I get pissed just thinking about it. Never gets called.
