Not the storyline. In the comics Thawne did go back in time to kill Flash's mother. But what transpired as a result of that was completely different. Most of the stuff that is happening in the show is not in the comics.

No love for the "I am your father" line from Mark Hamill?
I thought Hamill nailed it all the way around in the episode. And yeah, I thought that was a nice easter egg line.

Holy shite at the preview. Character explosion. Que terry crews old spice jingle

Man that was a great episode.
Mark Hamill was amazing. I remember I couldn't believe he was the voice of the joker when I found out a couple years ago.
Holy shite that opening scene was great.
Barry phasing through solid objects
Eddie being told

Even the one minute preview of the last part of the season was epic! I just hope the writers aren't blowing their whole load on the first season

Hopefully the CGI Solomon Grundy on Arrow/Flash and bring in Hamill to voice him as he did on JLU.
Hamill was money tonight, but he was a small part of this second-best episode ever.

Definitely the second best episode. I loved how they explained how Thawne was able to become Wells without anyone wondering where he came from. Them making Wells an actual person that Thawne took his identity (and actual body) was a pretty cool twist.

Fantastic episode. So much with the flashback of Welles, Barry learning a new skill and his continued mistrust of Welles.
Mark Hamill was perfect. Great Easter egg line.
Looks like every episode going forward could leave people saying that's the best episode yet! Joe comes face to face with Grodd, über face off with Arrow and Co. vs baddies.
Hard to believe this is still season one. Could make it hard going into future seasons to keep this pace.

This show gets better and better.
I didn't expect reverse flash being another guy. Turns out Harrison wells is completely innocent and just a pawn or a tool for reverse flash.
Hamilll was great in his role tonight but I still saw him as the Joker having a lucid day without the makeup in this episode and it was still entertaining. Love the father line too. CW's lucky the father line isn't patented though.
I was right in assuming that the dad knew Barry was flash. He was talking way too off putting to assume otherwise.
That was a ballsy move telling Eddie as I still believe that he's going to be a bad guy eventually in the future.
Wells talking Barry through the phasing was on big mistake. He showed his hand to Barry with that insane description.
The previews look awesome and this show could possibly be better than Smallville. It's shaping up to be what Smallville failed to be. I'm hoping for a new Superman spinoff sometime in the future and fix what what Smallville screwed up with which was too much Clark Kent. Speaking of Superman, it was a little awkward seeing Brandon Routh in the previews as another superhero. He was a fine Superman in returns and I would like him to be Superman in another CW show that as ties to flash and green arrow. It would be cool. Henry Cavill would be the movie Superman and Brandon Routh would be the TV Superman. Oh well.

Why don't we just call him Prof. Zoom?
Posted on 4/1/15 at 6:09 am to CGSC Lobotomy
For some reason the showrunners haven't used that moniker yet. Don't know why, but maybe we'll get that name thrown out there at some point in the future.

I believe this is why he is pushing Barry to run faster. When Barry reaches his full potential, Thawne will use his device on Barry to take over his body. At least, that is what Thawne is planning.
Posted on 4/1/15 at 8:12 am to WPBTiger
Thawne needs Barry to go faster so he can acquire more of the speed force or whatever.
Posted on 4/1/15 at 8:17 am to PsychTiger
Yeah, Thawne didn't take over Wells' body. He changed his own body into Wells' by transfer Wells' DNA to his (or something like that). Wells' body is still around somewhere. I'm wondering if the body that Joe and Lance found in the preview will be Wells' body.
With that said though, Wells could be waiting for Barry's DNA to change enough to become the Speed Force before trying to take Barry's DNA. Or Thawne could just be waiting until Barry builds the Speed Force up enough for him to power himself up enough to travel home. Who knows at this point.

Can someone explain why Thawne lost his powers but future Barry didn't? Or did he and future Barry is still out there somewhere.
I thought it was cool Thawne explained how Barry and the other metas originally go their powers.
