The rational fans understood this was going to be a rough season. Most analyst predicted a 8-4 or 7-5 record for LSU based on the lack of experience and depth issues. Our friend at Nola.com even said the same thing. I'll continue to watch every snap of every game, but I knew this was not a championship level team. I'll just look for improvement from the freshmen and sophomores, hope the draft eligible players return, and hope for a better 2015.

ETA: I hope we can make a bowl game for the extra practice.

Wasn't there an assistance coach in the SEC that said LSU would be in decline now? Guess he was right.

What people don't realize it's always about how it looks. When we win and people scream "10 wins" (which also means 3 losses), people often note we don't look good in the process. It'd be one thing to be losing heart breaking games and have 4 or 5 losses, but we haven't even been competitive.

Looks like the analysts were wrong. We may not be able to achieve a record like that. Hence, the anger.

not to revisit this point, but a decline is not a free-fall.

if we were losing games by 7 points..OK,
but 41 - 7 ...let's see the rest of the season...

DECLINE or FREE FALL ... hopefully neither and we re-awaken

Yep, you rite, will probably 6-6 or 5-7...

But in the words of a die hard Saints fan from the very 1st season, "Just wait til next year!!!"

Rough year...ie; 8-4/7-5...yes. LSU is staring 4-8 or 5-7 directly in the eyes and thats freaking inexcusable no matter what. Braindead Les Miles is NOT putting this team and its players in the best possible scenario, based on youth and strengths, to be successful. No matter how you twist, turn, or deny it...thats COACHING.

Well to be fair, I don't think LSU is going 3-9 this year seeing as how they already have 4 wins on the season.

OK you old fart -lol..damn I am old too

remind people how hard it is to throw the ball laying on the grass on your back ....

arguably the best QB to ever come out of college (Archie) could not do it.

NO QB CAN WORK A GAME WITHOUT AN OL

I was thinking 8-4 going into the season, but that was assuming Miss St and Ole Miss would be their regular selves. Now they are Top 5 teams, and I'm honestly just happy with a bowl game this year to get some extra practices and another game to watch.
