Can we just talk about Colston's "incomplete pass" in the 4th quarter?

My dad and I watched the slow replay of the "drop" and both looked at each other like "Holy crap, did they really not review that?"

I only saw the one replay in real time during the game broadcast, but after I saw it I came away from that thinking the Saints got very, very lucky.

He almost had himself another game changer to lose us the game. That's for sure.

Colston appears to lack any interest in playing football. His slow paced jogging to his route followed by either a drop or catch + fumble... it's old

I don't understand what's going on with him. He's literally never had drop issues and now, all of a sudden, he's getting them at the tail end of his career. Disappointing to say the least.

Yep, I held my breath until the end of the following play because I was sure they would call it dead to review it.

In regular time it looked to be an incomplete pass....but in slow motion look like a fumble.

Do they review in slow mo?

Is that play reviewable if it's blown dead as incomplete before the other team recovers it? My buddy and I were having this discussion when it happened. I also think it was a fumble but wasn't sure if it could be reviewed since they blew the whistle and said incomplete right away.

It was an incomplete pass. You have to make a "football move" or step or something after a catch. He didn't do that.

Colston was very very very lucky that there wasn't any noise on the Tampa sideline about it. Somehow in the least quiet manner, we dodged a bullet without Tampa Bay or the refs realizing what just happened.

He is clearly having issues securing the ball this year, it's not just a case of the drops, ball security is an issue for him now.
