Apparently you've never been profiled by a policeman. Congrats! I used to close late nights at Canes, and would be driving home around 2-4 AM. I would CONSTANTLY be pulled over and have to undergo drinking tests. They would never tell me why I was being pulled over, and I never got a ticket. I also was asked once if they could search my car, to which I replied no, and the idiot cop actually tried to argue that disagreeing to a search is probable cause TO search.

Police are not your friends.

I've been pulled over more times than you have.
I've been profiled before and treated with disrespect by officers.
These are 3 things i heard from cops when i decided to stop arguing and just shut up and get it over with.
"You were trying to evade me" b/c i got off on an exit and pulled over immediately, followed by, "quit driving with your radio so loud". my radio didnt' work. I was in a car owned by my cousin who was overseas with bama plates. He assumed i was a drug smuggler. I understand his suspicions and provided the info necessary for him to leave me alone. He pulled me over for a bull shite reason and gave me bull shite questions. I do realize that profiling cars with single occupants like i was, can lead to drug busts. I'd rather that then them not pulling over anyone.

"you were speeding" i said i saw it went from 55 to 45 and i slowed down accordingly, and he said the classic "it's a school zone". It was sunday He later asked to search my car (car was full of shite b/c i was coming back from Grand Isle) and questioned me about a pocket knife like an idiot. I knew what he was trying to do and i just sat there and ignored his baits.

And i got asked to have my car searched at 2AM dressed like payne stewart, explaining to him i was dressed that way b/c i wanted to look like an idiot for the putt putt golf date i had that night. I asked why i needed to get my car searched, he gave some stupid excuse, that i'm sure was illegal of him to do, i said whatever b/c i didn't want to be late getting home and deal with my dad and knew there was nothign in my car. Wasn't doing anything wrong that night and didn't get a ticket.

All incidents i got pulled over b/c i was driving a suspicious looking car and being young. I reported all 3 incidents to the proper police station after they happened. I wasn't issued a ticket for any of those 3.

all of those incidents could have escalated if i had acted like the person in the video, and like many of you. I was 22, 20 and 18 respectively in those incidents. Just recently got a speeding ticket and it was the first time i had been pulled over in 8 years. I look like a normal adult driving a normal car now.

no. All of those incidences wouldn't have happened like that had you been black like the guy in the video.
That's what we're talking about. That's what the dude in the video is so upset about.
He knows,we know, everyone but you knows had he been white chances are they never get pulled over, chances are even if pulled over a quick check of his womans license and they would had been on their way.

You sound pathetically servile to authority figures.

I get your points about the attitude and blatantly charged altercation, but there is a way to tell a cop to go frick himself, remaining calm while ensuring he understands that you know your rights. Asking him to communicate the impetus for his desire to search you and your effects, or even to investigate you beyond the traffic violation.

wow, drug busts? Really, you care that much about drug busts that you are willing to toss the 4th amendment?
