Weve had 10 years to define him as a coach...

You mean all the games he has stubbornly run the ball into a stacked box with a 2 TE set and only 1 WR hasn't defined him?

After 10 years at LSU, Miles has been pretty well defined. In dozens of games, by thousands of "experts."

No, it will not define Les as a coach, but yes we do need defensive leaders.

One game won't define a coach.

But this season may give some indication of what kind of coach he's gonna be for the rest of his career here.

Does he make adjustments/changes necessary to the offense to help these youngsters become more successful?

He already went out of his comfort zone by making Harris the starter. That wasn't his ideal plan, but he made the change.

But this game will not define him at all.

Les has two National Championship Game appearances that will always define him more than any other game.

The fan base will be divided on which one matters more until he appears in another.

Already defined career. Above average coach and recruiter reaping rewards from the foundation laid by a legend that now dominates in T-town. And that's all he will ever be. Our coach doesn't threaten anyone. worth a shite like Saban. Above average but no where close to great.

Jeez, 1 loss and you would think LSU is facing its imminent death according to the rantards.

I'm by no means a sunshine pumper, but I was expecting to lose 4-5 games this season. Hardly any coach could do better than that with so many freshmen.

Seriously, you should be banned. How old are you?

LSU may win, they may lose....but they are on the road in a very hostile environment, and you post that THIS game will define LES......you are a pathetic piece of shite and I hope someone whips your arse today "just" for the fun of it.

This thread delivers. It's interesting to see what different posters pick as the game that defines Miles. Like a couple of other recent threads, I think the different choices say more about the individual posters than about Miles.

The games that come to mind for me are the time he went for it over and over on 4th down, the behind the back flip from he holder to the kicker and the heaving it into the end zone in a pretty iffy time-left scenario when a FG would have won it (if made).

Nope! Next year will define Miles. He took over a program at the top. He has maintained that level until now. Other programs have grown and now match or have surpassed us. Next season will tell if he has regained that supremacy or still is floundering.
