false. if kids didn't respect him then they wouldn't play their arses off for him and wouldn't want to come here and play. if coaches didn't respect him then we would've lost all of the great coaches we've had with him over the years.

I still respect Miles. for him to deal with the whiniest and bitchiest fans in the SEC (and the country for that matter) and keep us up near or at the top for so long, on top of getting compared to Lil Nicky...he should garner nothing but respect!

Not to mention apart from the accolades he's brought to the program he has been such an amazing ambassador for the school. 1000x the ambassador and figurehead Saban was.

good to know I chose wisely then... hardware is one thing, 1 Natty and 2 Conference championships in the toughest division of the toughest conference in college football sounds okay to me.

Cholly Mac didn't have a shite ton of hardware either and people loved and respected him.

Love Les, Win More

Would be surprised if LSU went 0 for SEC west competition.

nice to know someone has the executive processing speed, attentional skills and auditory processing combination that would allow them to partake in a less-than-5-minute task..

Many people are more "finite thinkers", who can offer brilliance in a non-impulsive context.

Why has he been involved in so many on-field time management issues? It is a combination of how many people are coordinating decisions and the slow link in that thought/communication process...Since he is the common link, it is a good assertion to conclude he is that slow thinking link.

What does 2003 have to do with Leslie?

it has to do with LSU and the state of the program. 2 NC's and 3 championship game appearances along with some SEC championships in the last 10 years and also SEC west championships equals the program is on solid ground.

Why you calling him Leslie, it';s coach Miles to you you lollipop licker.

are yo a stupid arse or what? The players seem to love and respect him. So you write that off as being sold a line of BS.

Yea and as good as 2011 was, 1/9 was the end of les as a respected coach.

you Jarret Lee fans just never give up do you? He was a good QB and a respected former LSU player, but that's about as far as it goes. Some fans thought Keiland was great, some thought Russell Shepard was as well as Holiday, but Lee fans just take it to a really weird place. Putting one player ahead of the program is not what it is about. If it was just about personalities I'm sure Shepard and Lee would have gotton a lot more playing time as they were both really solid and respected individuals. Seeing Lee standing on the side line with his helmet in his hand in his last game was a sad site, but what favor would it have done him to put him in with the way LSU's o-line was getting destroyed. He never was good in that kind of situation. I understand the idea of just try anything different. Maybe really should have put Holiday at DE. It would be different.

also anybody who thinks Miles is a slow thinker really hasn't listened to his press conferences. His unscripted off the cuff comments cut straight through the bullshite, yet remain upbeat and positive.

Two in the last 7 though, see how I can be objective instead cutting off randomly to prove a point? He won the West in 3 years, then won it 4 years later, he will then have a major chance to win it again in 2015.

IMO, had Saban not been in the same division, you little weak minded folks would be praising Miles for something few coaches have done.

Nobody has penis envy like LSU fans and it's to the point of madness when 95% of FBS schools would take out last 7 years in a heartbeat over what they had.

We have pretty much been considered around the country, as one of the top dogs over the past 4 years. From 2011-2013, LSU/Bama was pretty much the semifinals for the NCG, and CFB fans across the country acknowledged that.

We have had a major dropoff this year because of so many guys leaving early. What could Miles possibly tell these kids to stay given that they could be making money in a matter of months? Most have never had anything worth a shite growing up, so they want that money as soon as available. Of course some make the wrong mistake, but if you don't think Miles is doing his best to keep these guys here, you are crazy!

Where did anyone in this thread mention JL dumbarse? But snce you went there...Sorry, your son/nephew/grandson JJ sucked as a QB, especially in that game. And to some it appeared that Les did put one player ahead of the program, and it sure as heck wasn't ever JL. With the data we have now, it seems likely that the program might have been better served by Mett getting more snaps in 2011, if not the majority. I doubt he would have gone through a half of the SECCG with what, 13 yards passing? So maybe YOU need to give up. The best fiction writers of today couldn't rewrite history and make JJ a good QB.

Miles To Stabilize the Program

I really don't understand this weird infatuation that some of y'all have with Miles.

The credit that you want to heap on the guy needs to be redirected toward the players, assistant coaches, and the support system surrounding the program. And Miles agrees with me -- when asked about his 100th win at LSU during his press conference (15:00) on Monday, he said the success that he's had at LSU is based on the quality of the players and assistant coaches.

Chavis and Cam need to get on the sideline during the game to mentor these young players. Our only chance involves welter and Jennings on the bench.
