How difficult is DT technique to learn, seriously?
Plugging the middle is pretty much all that is required for running plays and getting a good push up the middle during passing plays.
Maybe what is meant by poor technique is getting beat by the OL too much?

Watch Bain. He was getting stood up by NMSU OL and pushed off the ball. That tells you all you need to know.
