I really thought there would be Woodlands over Naples love on here. I am very surprised.

You really thought something in the Houston metro area would get love on here?

I have lived in Ft Myers for 18 years it is indeed Paradise great weather, you can live in shorts all year long. 161 Golf Courses within a 40 mile radius. Beautiful beaches, good fishing, very low crime( more people killed in a weekend in N O than 1 year.
My brother lives close to the Woodlands and love it, but not for me. If you like idal weather the beaches and Golf this is the place.

If you decide to live here please contact me and we can get together when you arrive. A surprisingly large number of La., people. We have a nice place to view LSU gams. Do you like to cruise? A little over 2hours to Laudedale and Miami. No airfare and great deals. We have the Twins and Red Sox who Spring Train. It is very clean, much better than B R and N O , but then most t places are.

Good luck.

I never heard about this part. I think it's just an effort to build Notre Dame - South (and an associated community) by some pizza dude with way more money than sense.

Hertz it is I fly out tonight for NJ. It would be a big decision. They are paying for relocation, so that is a plus. I am friendly, so I don't believe I would have a hard time meeting people. I know they are going to permanently HQ themselves in Estero, and the demographics really threw me off. My parents said don't write it off, and my reply was "Yeah, because y'all are in your 50's!" I appreciate the info. It has definitely made me more open to this possibility.

Gotta tell you, you threw some of us with Naples. Estero is definitely NOT Naples.

I think you'd like it around there 10x better.

This is key. Pay!!!

If the money is really the exact same?? Naples I imagine can get pricey compared to Houston.

Not HERC. With the outlook here in BR where I am at, I am not sure either place can pay me what it would be worth to move.

Naples is where they are currently at, before the final move to Estero. Sounds like it is a night/day difference.

In what way? I doubt the difference is that *significant*. Houses in good parts of Houston are pretty expensive, unless you go way out into the burbs. Woodlands used to be really cheap, but I'm not so sure anymore.

Either way, you're likely to pay more taxes in Houston. Home insurance may be an issue in Naples, though.
