I have a good feeling.

I know it's some what of a stretch, but I think Les is starting to understand what works and what doesn't. I'm not worried about our D. That will get sorted out as it usually does.
Harris has serious potential. Ground and pound obviously won't do it alone, and wwhile it kills me to admit it.. We will be overmatched in several of our upcoming games, so why not throw it up more? Harris will make mistakes but when he doesn't there could be some serious rewards. Our schedule is littered with bad secondaries. Surely the staff sees that.
What have we got to lose?

How can you not be worried about our D? They somewhat figured it out last year with 2 games left to go in the season. Only thing that saved our asses last year was Mett, Beckham, Landry, and Hill. Harris might be the better qB but he's not going to make our OL suddenly start blocking or play calling to get better. It all starts with coaching.

I'm not judging this team by that loss. Les did not have them ready at all. Obviously overlooked them. Overlooking New Mexico also, but that doesn't really matter. We stand a legitimate chance on the plains if we take chances.

The staff doesn't care about bad secondaries.

At 61 years old and 10 years in the sec he is starting to understand what works? I wont hold my breath.

That's a stretch. The game plan stunk. He's trying to fit a square peg into a round hole with this offense. Defense is scary bad right now. That's very concerning.

Yes because he made the brilliant decision to take Jennings out and insert Harris at the end of the Miss St game. Wait... nevermind... Jennings was hurt so he had no choice! I admire your optimism but Im not getting burned again thinking that Les has figured something out. I used to believe all that "Dumb like a fox" crap but not anymore!

TigerNation needs to relax, take a deep breath and enjoy the games. I still have faith in this coaching staff. Hey, LSU is a young team and like I said earlier, young talented players age quickly in the SEC. I believe as the season progresses this team will keep getting stronger and stronger.
I expect to see a win over Auburn.
Geaux Tigahs!!!

Maybe. How does a young team overlook their first sec game?

Nope. We will come out pounding the ball again this weekend. I guran fricking tee it.

Didn't UAB put up a ton of yards on states secondary? Surely they saw that right? That worked out well... Les does not game plan for weaknesses, he just runs the same shite every week.
Look at some pro teams. They might be pounding the ball one week against a weak front 7, but air raiding it the next week against a weak secondary. That's exploiting weaknesses in your opponent. Les doesn't know how to do that. He just uses the same fricking plays every weekend.

Miles will Miles.
Everyone that had any clue about what was going on last week new we would not be able to just line up in a power formation and try to bully State. Everyone knew we would have to spread things out and throw against some weak DB's.
What do we do, power formation and run into the O-Lines back.
How does Miles never see what the world sees.
This is not coming from Ranters, to hear Kevin Mawea say I had to leave the game early b/c I just couldn't stand to see another 2 Tight I formation. He knows whats going on and what should be going on.

I've seen brief glimpses of times where a new wrinkle is put into the offense... usually a big game... and if they are not poorly executed usually work until the defense adjusts and forces Les to respond which he usually cant...seriously.
Its like a student with bad study habits expecting to pass with A's. You can get the A in Gym class but not in Physics! They simply dont practice and prepare the team properly.

I'm not worried about the o. After watching that seems correctable. But for 2 seasons now we've been soft up the middle on d. Just don't think we have the players. We will have to put up points to win some of these games. We not winning any 9-6 games.

There are multiple reasons I feel this way.
1) We lost to state. Maybe the young players weren't overlooking this game, but Les probably had this down as a W already. For us to lose to them, and see all the disappointed fans leave early.. had to be a little bit shitty to him. Harris jumped on that secondary when we finally threw the damn ball. Maybe he was like "holy frick, we could of won if I'd have done that all game". There's bad... And then there is losing to state in Death Valley at night bad. Les knows the difference.
2) We have virtually lost hope for a playoff spot. Somebody has GOT to say "hey, wake up and take chances". Because the only way we get back in is by winning out.
3) He's still a damn fine coach.

There is a difference between "what works" and continuously trying to force "something to work".
He sees what works..that just not WORK FOR HIM...
he is the center "EGO:, when you have a great QB, no one will talk about Miles eating grass, or ???
the talk will be solely on the QB. Miles can not have that.
