Well I listed year by year and which years the team improved or regressed.

I'd be happy to listen to any disagreements you have with each, although I'm sure you'll just move along and stick to your dug in position and preconceptions about how Miles is stoopid bullet points without any explanation.

hate this excuse. the D played hard, Clemson just made timely some plays. Boyd was a good college QB, Hopkins a good WR on whatever level, and they had some talent on both sides of the ball.

Good points, and I guess I wasn't clear because it was a long post and was trying to keep each year brief.

FTR, I've never criticized the loss to Clemson and have defended the team in multiple threads about it against those that pretend a loss to a very good Clemson team was some kind of embarassment.

As I pointed out in my post, they were a top 10 team, and there was no shame in losing that game on a last second FG after giving up a 4th and 16 conversion.

My comment about the D had more to do with the end of the season after the Bama game, when the D seemed to be a little distracted with NFL decisions against MSU, OM, and Ark.

The team looked well motivated inthe bowl imo, with the D getting the big turnover early, but the improved O at the end of the year didn't click as well against a fired up Clemson D to atone for their bowl embarrassment in 2011.

I didn't mean it as an excuse for the bowl loss, and see that it could have been misinterpreted.

Notice how short the list of "BEST" in season adjustments are? Kind of telling isn't it?

2005 LSU loses at home to a Tennessee team that would wind up going 5-6 and losing to Vandy for the first time in years. LSU went on to win out during the regular season, including wins over 3 teams ranked in the top 20. The loss to Georgia in the SECCG was rough but that may have been a result of not getting a bye week. The team turned around and then curb stomped #9 Miami in the bowl.

Is this team as talented as that one? Not sure. But the entire state was about to run Miles out of town after that home opening loss. History repeating itself?

Did we switch to zone this year or did we use zone last season also?

I don't think most coaches will have a long list of in-season changes - at least not on a large scale. Ex: Auburn last yr. they didn't change what they did just how they did it. At season's end their O was clicking.

I don't see us changing things much from what we've seen. There is no secret playbook. We won't feature TE's. Etc

Idiot.

JR threw the ball 41 times against UF. The 3 picks were the problem.

That game was completely on the players and lack of execution. The JR picks and fumble at the 1 yard line. Early's botched kickoff return out of halftime, the phantom holding call, and giving up 2 garbage TDs to freshman Tebow cost us that game.

Dont assume that everyone disagrees with those comments and you should try not to be a jerk on a message board toward someone you dont even know.

Miles' teams improve nearly every year

I'm gonna assume this means throughout the course of a given year, as opposed to each year better than the last.

But...if your team DOESN'T improve during the year, I'd say you're fricking up as a coach.

A team gelling/improving throughout the season should be a given...only excuses I can think of are injuries and off-the-field incidents.
