Can't look good for the sponsors...

From link:

"He would not say if Stewart testified in the case, citing the confidential nature of grand jury proceedings. Tantillo also said Ward had marijuana in his system and suggested it was enough to impair his judgment."

c'mon man...

What happened to Ward is pretty much in the same ballpark as the much loved OT threads "Dude dies from sticking (insert body part) into (dangerous contraption)"...If you do something stupid and life threatening, you have to expect consequences

I get it.

He did a dumb thing. I've done a ton of 'em.

By all accounts though, he was a good guy. He didn't "deserve" to die. Heat of the moment, a tore up racecar (that you built), emotion got the better of him.

there's just not enough evidence to prove Stewart's intent for being a fricking a-hole.

There is not enough evidence to prove T.S. did anything wrong. His being an a-hole isn't in question ... but has no bearing on the issue.

I'm glad he isn't. I mean the guy walked out ona dirt race track, at night, in a black race suit, and on a turn. I would love to see how everyone else that was so quick to condemn him handle that situation at over 80 mph.

Will be more difficult to win now that

People tripped cuz Smoke revved engine before impact, not understanding how those sprint cars operate, dirt track, etc.

Ward was high, pissed, and too young/ inexperienced to handle race rage. A terrible combo with tragic results. But criminal intent by Stewart?
Never saw it, TBH.

Missed that, you are correct.

I've watched that video a few times and I just get a twinge about TS a bit.
Knowing Tony's attitude, I wouldn't put it past him to try to dust (sling dirt) a bit.

There's no way he meant to injure him, but he's not 100% clear IMO.

He will be judged by a higher court. And the judge knows what his true intentions were. I wouldn't want to be him.

I didn't expect the guy to be convicted of murder one but no charges at all? Not even negligent homicide?

I agree that he will get taken to the cleaners in civil court, though.
