Asian Sweet and Sour sauce ...

Looking for a brand that's legit, not too sweet and sugary, or "glow in the dark" red. Something with a genuinely good flavor profile.
I'm assuming some of you will suggest some authentic asian brand that i can only find in certain stores.
That's exactly what i'm looking for.

I suggest making your own so you can alter the profile yourself. Very simple sauce to make.
1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
4 tablespoons vinegar
1 1/3 tablespoons soy sauce
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup water
4 tablespoons cornstarch
Play with it to suit your taste.

If you are in BR, go to Vihn Phat, they carry plenty of options that are better than American grocer options.
They are the only place in town that carries Kimlan Soy Sauce, which is vastly better than Kikkoman,etc..and the choice of many great restaurants.
They carry many Sweet and Sour sauces better than grocer brands, such as Mae Ploy, Pantai, and assorted Chinese, Taiwanese, etc..brands.
Also, for anyone that likes CDM Coffee w/Chicory..best price in BR by a mile.
