I find it odd that no states have the same brand. I'm skeptical.

I assume that in the case of ties brands were assigned to the state with the most (or highest ratio of) searches for that brand and then removed from the list of options for other states. Otherwise yea, no way this is in any way accurate.

i think the correlation of brand to state is employment. if you look at what brands are googled in what states, a lot of the brands have corporate offices or headquarters in said state.
