My SO wanted to watch the season premier of "Big Bang Theory" instead It had some funny moments, but most of the jokes were even more awkward and/or forced as usual.

So how was Gotham? I'm looking forward to giving it a shot, and I don't want any spoilers besides the obvious ones due to the fact that it's a Batman prequel minus Batman.

It wasn't a bad pilot at all and I think it'll end up being a pretty good show.

Best way to describe it:
quote:

People need to remember it's a cop show, but with Batman characters.
And it's done by Fox, so TTFWIW.

It's hard to say, but overall looks like it could be good. Pilots are difficult for me to judge because I am not invested yet.

I actually liked it quite a bit. It sets up about how I imagined it would. We got a pretty good dose of Bruce and his tragic story right off the bat, and they introduced more Batman characters than they probably should have in the 1st episode. But I thought it was still a good pilot, and the show definitely has potential. I'll agree with some who think it may be hard to run this series past 3 to 4 seasons, and hopefully they don't try to (unless they can come up with some fresh directions to take the show in the future. But overall I liked it a lot better than the Agents of Shield pilot (or any of the 1st half of their season). But just like AoS had the potential to get better (which they capitalized on), so does Gotham (which has the potential to be really good IMO).

I liked it. Most pilots are a little off for different reasons. I think this could turn into a really cool show.

I enjoyed it actually and I forced my girlfriend to watch and she liked it as well. It's set in the present apparently because they were talking about phones and what not. I think the only way you can make this show go past 3 or 4 seasons is if you make Bruce Wayne older and go into future more

They got through the introduction of quite a few characters.

I thought it was pretty bad. Acting was not very good and it seems like it is going to take to long to get interesting.

a fricking travesty

now with that said, it held my attention for a bit, and I'll give it another go

I hate to be that guy, but they're going too far from the source material.

I've said this all along, if you want to do a batman tv show, it has to be animated and heavily geared towards adults.

for this show, I hate how they say "falcone" I hate that jim Gordon (the focus of the entire show) is entering gotham at this particular time.

This really should've been "year one" only just before wayne arrives...wayne comes in during season 2 or 3, a couple of years getting ready, then batman.

they went the smallville route...I fricking hate smallville
