Everyone keeps mentioning and quoting that they state offense knew what LSU was doing in defense before the snap. BG, who is asst head and co-OC at state now may have helped with that. He spent several years coaching against Cheif defenses in practice. I can't help but think that helped states offense. I know that their line play was better, but to have big play after big play like that, schematically they had something figured out. They always were finding the weakness in space and LSUs alignment. To me it looked like they were a step ahead of our D instead of just "whipping" our D Line. Chief got schooled Sat night.

Chavis often looks like a genius on first & second down...but then it all goes to hell on third down.

I'm not sure MSU needed any help from a former coach to figure out this defense.

Everybody in the stadium knew what they were going to do on third down, yet we kept dropping seven deep and leaving the middle wide open for Prescott to walk for a first down.

I actually didn't realize that but have to believe it gave them an advantage. If we think it helped us having him against UF, it had to help State Saturday night.

That tells me LSU has had the same exact game plan for years. It apparently hasn't changed or improved.

That doesn't bother anyone?

Our entire scheme is predictable and SEC coaches probably laugh when they watch film. We are a talented team but too inexperienced to so the same things as past years. The play calling is terrible and the execution isn't any better.

Every single team that we play says this. They all say it, "LSU doesn't trick you on offense or defense, they just line up and beat you man for man."

It's not a Billy Gonzales thing.
