For example, "Does anyone have Dish, and like it? Hate it?"

I have Dish, have had it for 15 years now. Just upgraded equipment to the hopper setup. Works fine for me.

Why do you hate it?
Tried a 'free' 3 month sports package to get ESPN3. The sports package didn't include ESPN3, so called to cancel the package, which they did. Got charged a change of package fee on next bill. Would not take it off. Then my rate changed because I changed my package. Month after month after month I attempted to get my billing straight. After 6 months of them not being able to actually send a bill which was correct, I dropped it.
Never, never, never, never, never again.

I honestly don't find there to be too much difference between any of the sattelite & cable providers...
be sure to compare equal packages by each provider that supply you with the channels that you want...
also, my advice is to just flat-out disregard the promotional shite when you make your decision, as that promotional rate will expire very quickly...

Dish is great. This coming from a long time DirecTV customer. Watching live TV on the go is fantastic.
And Dish's customer service runs circles around the bafoons that work at DTV.

The time I had dish I loved it. Free DVR.
I only had one issue and that was when i was upgrading my channel package to get ESPN U and Classic and ESPN news and AE. They didnt bother to tell me that the package wasnt HD so i then had almost no HD channels. I called back to get them to change it back because I didnt want to pay an extra 15 bucks a month to have them all HD again so I was going to cancel and not upgrade. They ended up upgrading me AGAIN for free.
Another kinda funny story was Directv people were going door to door in the neighborhood and they stopped by and were saying how much cheaper they are then dish and they showed me what their bill would look like. I showed them my bill and they were baffled and were like "yeah thats a pretty good deal, we cannot match that" I had them for about 4 years and then cancelled just due to not being home too much

I've had dish for about 4-5 months now and absolutely love it. I switched from directv and don't regret it at all. If you compare channel line ups I'm sure you'll find that you get pretty much the same thing on just about any provider. But what sold me on the dish was the built in sling box (which allows you to watch your live tv or your DVR from anywhere you can access internet). This was a huge bonus for me.
If you decide to go with Dish and you need one...here's a $50 promo discount - VCD0011347621

Wait, there are people who haven't totally been turned off by tha Hawpah and an Australian-accented kangaroo talking about her love of American college football?
