I sure don't see any more in him than I ever did in JJ
I don't think that's really fair.
AJ, while not that good is better than JJ. If for no other reason than he is a better leader.
You didn't here AJ after last night saying "I played great" like JJ did after 1/9.
AJ has limited talent and the coaches call plays against his strength.
I also truly believe that a lot of his hesitancy is because Miles is so scared, he has drilled into AJ's head NOT TO TURN IT OVER. This results in him playing scared.
Hopefully he doesn't do the same to BH.

I haven't been to any of the practices, but he probably thought AJ would not be as likely to turn it over, even though it was AJ's first SEC start. Manage the game without mistakes! That's what I think Les thought. Think he is shocked that OLine can't get the job done. Probably had good practices last week and thought the OLine was going to come out strong with full stadium behind them. Didn't happen! Harris certainly did well against 3 man rush. See a lot of potential with both QBs and will pull for each of them. Long season, so will definitely need 'em both.
Schedule actually works out well to work on some adjustments this week, before they hit the Plains of Auburn.

But I'm sure extreme youth and inexperience in the system are up there. Doubt they wanted to throw him to the wolves this early.
That didn't stop them from putting him in against Wisconsin. He has had issues with knowing the plays and management of the game. With that said, sometimes you have to take some chances and deal with some mistakes.

I don't doubt that you're right, but I think this is another check in Harris' column. I really get the feeling that, in a live game situation, Harris would be the one to say to his team "Look, the conservative crap isn't working, let's take a few risks." (that's on my probably foolish assumption that the QBs are allowed to change the play at the line). I don't see Jennings ever taking charge like that. From the (admittedly extremely limited) exposure we've had to both QBs, I just don't see that same kind of fire in AJ.
Harris wants to be great. Jennings wants to be safe.

miles is permanently scarred by Lee in 2008
And JJ had no effect I suppose.

Can't you people understand that State's Dline may have permanently injured Harris last night if he had started? Harris' body cant stand up to the pounding Jennings took.

This....I think Jennings is a great kid, but he is limited with the velocity in his arm...the ball sails on him...it's a recipe for disaster for him to throw over the middle...Harris has the arm strength like mettenberger did...to make the "nfl 25 yd post" over the middle....what it showed us last year is defenses have to honor that and they didn't put 8 in the box....it was truly balanced...the only thing that Jo and Jennings have in common are this. Neither can throw the intermediate downfield pass....time for Harris...he can...run shotgun 3 wide (his strength) his strength and run out of it till he gets the offense

I can understand your conjecture on the matter but I do not think 25 lbs heavier and being slower to react as a reason to let one man get hammered like you insist. That is what we did with JJ if I remember the reasoning for that too.

What is the one reason why CLM did not play Harris Earlier?
Cam/Miles might not want his shiny new toy in the body shop before getting it broke in.
B) By firsthand account, he definitely didn't look mentally ready vs ULM and figure Cam/Miles et al saw it as well.
C) What we saw looked juicy vs #2s and off coverages, even cover4.
Possibly the performance is different at practice under heavy rush.
I don't claim fact to any but B.

The qb situation this year reminds me of 2004. Jennings plays the role of Randall and Harris plays the role of Russell. Granted, Randall was a SR. and had a good part of 2002 as experience. But still, even with that you couldn't tell he was further progressed than Russell that year, even with experience. That's the way I feel about Jennings and Harris.

In a 1970's offense you never pull your starting quarterback unless he is injured.

What years did you coach elementary, middle school, High school, college, or NFL? Considering you are 20 maybe an can't afford a home that's not on wheels, you know it all. When you lay down tonight with your hand, just know you are a failure, And your mom should have swallowed you.

He's better when the opposing defense is in soft coverage.
