"Taking the Crowd Out of the Game"

I have to hand it to Mississippi State.
While I have my gripes about modern-era Tiger Stadium fan support, after the strip and TD to make it 17-10, on MSU's next possession, Tiger Stadium was as loud as I've heard it in over forty years of going to games. It was like sitting inside a jet engine.
And while I do bitch about people leaving early, and fans not being the "twelfth man" at the first bit of adversity, I have to admit, with our defense not able to make key stops, the team has only themselves to blame for the crowd support being neutralized.
Prescott and MSU kept their poise. They definitely looked rattled right at that key moment. I figured we'd start rolling and win going away.
Yes, I hate the practically empty stadium at the end--shades of Troy State, except this time a possible comeback against an SEC opponent--but our defense and Mississippi State "took the crowd out of the game" when I thought we had them by the jugular.

It was as loud, if not louder than LSU vs. Florida with Hester ran wild.

Les took them out when he handed the ball off 3 times in a row to start the game.

If you can find me one palpable example of a crowd winning a football game, I'd be very interested in reading about it.

Yeah before they converted that 3rd and 11 the stadium was fricking coming unglued. Incredible. Then they convert, air was literally taken out of the whole place. Then Dak had the long run. Game over at that point IMO
