When you can do this at home.
Sesame seared tuna steaks with stir fried asparagus and a wasabi sauce. Recipe available if requested.
Bonus: ballast point sculpin

What recipe did you use for the tuna? I've been wanting to make that lately with some steaks I have leftover.

Tuna:
Place cast iron on high until your entire house is full of smoke. It's hot enough then.
Salt and Pepper the steaks.
Then sesame seed the steaks, make sure to press the seed into the tuna.
Sear until you are comfortable with the level of doneness/rawness. What I mean by that is you can watch how cooked the inside is by the cooked portion creeping up the side. I go about 1/8 inch then flip and repeat.

If you haven't had it yet, mathernes has my favorite sauce for tuna. I always made my own until I found it. Its a wasabi soy sauce near the deli.

You had to cook your own bday dinner? I hope that trend doesn't extrapolate itself over the course of the night.

well my wife is officially 3 days past her due date and still pregnant so asking her to cook is a tall order.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, it's actually Tuesday but we will be in the hospital to induce so tonight was birthday observed!
