i really think you can make the arguement that no coach in say the last 50 years has done to a program what he has done.
not only were they the worst 1-a football program when he got there, they were the worst athletic department, and if you read this link, the University was failing as a whole

South Carolina wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire when Spurrier took over.
