Is one LSU football game really more important than exploring such an historical city? Come on man.

The OP seemed to imply he WAS going to explore the city, but end up at a pub (hopefully) in the wee hours and catch some/all of the LSU game.

I've done that in London, Naples and Tokyo... its all good... he can sleep on the flight home ;)

I'm there a week and the conference scheduled several tours of the city for us, including dinner inside the German Technical Museum and another one inside the Historical Museum. When I say free time - it will be the only time that some tour, meeting, etc. is not set in stone.

My sleep schedule is going to be jacked up anyway, why not try to meet some new LSU fans and drink beer?

The game kicks off at 1 AM Berlin time. Nobody explores Berlin at that time other than exploring a pub or sleeping.
