Probably my favorite season of CFB ever.
Either that or 2011 for me.

No, a 2 loss team got into the NC

2007 was the greatest CFB season ever?
You obviously had some huge arse upsets too (App. State over Mich, Stanford over USC). Navy had beated ND for the first time in 40 years that year as well.

Peak season IMO. Been down hill ever since

2012 was my favorite, probably because I was living in Las Vegas and betting on games each weekend so it was all exciting even random MAC games

A lot of LSU fans may agree with you, but I'm not sure others fans will.

While 2005 wasn't as good as 2007, it was rather interesting.

I think this current season is off to a great start.
07 has an argument, but iirc I felt 09 (biased obviously) was a better season.

Every year we've gone to the championship cfb has a serious clusterfrick. '11 was my favorite fall of all time tbh. I was one of the few people I knew who thought we could go 13-0. The fact that it happened and the way it happened was special to me. Also all the other elements made it a great season (Bama being identical to LSU, Penn st., Rg3.)

I'll also add that Oregon was pretty awesome that year with Dennis Dixon. They probably win the title that year if he doesn't blow his knee out.

Since I started watching in 92, nothing comes close to 07. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbow.gif)

All bias aside, '07 was hands down the most exciting college football season for me. Going into every weekend you had NO IDEA what was going to happen. All you could do was sit back and enjoy the eventual chaos that you were about to witness.
-Matt Ryan had Boston College at #2 in the BCS at one point
-WVU had Pat White and Steve Slaton (We all know where they were before the Wannstache struck)
-USF was #2
-The Big East was actually entertaining to watch on Thursdays and Fridays.
-Kentucky got as high as #7 (BCS)
-I remember thinking how crazy it was to see South Carolina in the top 10 (Spurrier sustaining that success is another story in itself)
-Kansas went 12-1 and got as high as #2 in the BCS! Kansas! They are 23-52 since then.
-Missouri and W. Virginia were both one win away from playing each other in the National Championship game.
I've always liked college football but that season had me so intrigued, I couldn't peel my eyes away from the TV for more than 10 minutes every Saturday. It was so damn entertaining.
