I have been most impressed by his punishing style on ST and in lowering his shoulder on LB and DB. That will grow old to those guys as games wear on.

This. Its why we use a ton of backs and pound the ball up the middle with little success the first 2.5 quarters and they we dominate the last 1.5. Les has been doing it for YEARS with tons of success and the rant still bitches the first 2.5 quarters of every game.

All of our Rbs are punisher's . I think Kenny an Darrell takes a better hit, but Fournette at 230lbs with that speed probably gives a bigger lick in the open field, Magee had at good lick in the ULM game on that 9 or 10 yd run. I like them all, can't wait for Ducre next year he going to be a punisher!

Fournette, a big back with more speed just carries more force. He has lowered his shoulder quite a bit.

This.

Yup, and to those saying he needs to learn to run north south more... I disagree. The times I have seen him running parallel to the line looks to be because of the play call. I agree that he is still a half-beat too tentative in deciding when to turn up and go on those outside plays. Its more to do with him becoming more comfortable on when to make his cuts, than it is needing to run north south. Once he has made cuts, he goes north/south pretty hard and def lowers his shoulder into the tackle.

I agree he is still working on getting a feel for things, but it seems to me to be more so in regards of getting a feel for where the hole/seam is going to be. Doesn't seem like he is tentative once he turns it up I haven't seen hardly any tentativeness. Just my .02

I agree. The more comfortable and familiar he gets with the offense, the better he will be.

Think about how scary that is for other teams

Williams gets my vote so far. Gotta be a reason they're handing him the ball on the goal line all the time. Dude is gonna be a freaking beast before his time is done.

Because they like him in that fullback formation

Because they want to punish fournette.

I used to but now I just sit back and smile, especially when watching with people that don't know how LSU does things.

Hilliard. CN is still the best blocking back on the team and can definitely light up linebackers and db's at times.

Well I've seen Fournette pretty much run clean over several guys, and drag several other guys with him, so that's who I'm choosing.

I love how people just fly off of him most of the time. Very fun to watch.

We've never spread the ball out this much this early in Miles tenure. There's pretty much been two back with about 70% of the carries, and one (possiblh two) guys for rest and cleanup. We've pretty much split reps even this year.

It is when you see the opponents' assistant coaches picking their players up in pieces by the beginning of the 4th quarter.
