OT nostalgia thread - what do you remember growing up that's not common anymore?

Some I can think of:
- Sets of Encyclopedia Britanica or World Book in peoples houses.
- Banana seats on bicycles.
- Playing tackle games like British Bulldog and tackle football at recess at school.
- Getting tests and assignments at at school with purple ink from a mimeograph machine.
- Comic book spin racks at the drug store or department store where you could get comics for a quarter.
- Shrimp boxes in the river when you could actually eat what came out of it.

Funny - I was just about to say that I remember that we always somehow got our hands on girly mags (which we called generically "playboy" whether they were that or penthouse or oui or whatever). We would try to hide them in the woods and of course the humidity and rain would ruin them.

Opening up beverage cans with a can opener.
Busy signals on phones.
Ice trays with that lever in the middle.
Cars without seat belts.
Ash trays in cars.
Boys bowing and girls curtseying while saying "Good morning, Sister" every school day.

Oh yeah, and everyone in wooded areas had a wilderness stash. In some ziplock bag under a log somewhere.
Now they have machines that feed it directly into your bedroom in HD

British Bulldog was a great schoolyard game. Can you imagine the horror on administrators' faces if kids played it today?
