I never understood this, why is scoring 70 against garbage teams so ejaculate worthy when it comes to the media but throwing back to back shutouts, the media doesn't care?

ITs a conspiracy.

The tiger rant knows about the vast anti-lsu conspiracy.

Who cares if the media cares? If we handle business in the SEC we'll be looking good regardless.

Shutout, fine.

But you know who else scored 31 against Monroe? Idaho.

Offense is attractive to the media more so than defense

I honestly don't care because a) we're only three games into the season, let it play out, and b) I don't want to anoint this defense until we've actually faced a decent passing team.

Scoring 70 points against any team is somewhat impressive. I remember LSU did that once back in the 90's.

They are called rent a wins, they only matter if we lose or almost lose.

They mentioned it on SportsCenter after all the games on Saturday night.

CNBC had a 3 hour special on it last night...Pimm Foxx from Bloomberg will be broadcasting from campus tomorrow. Reportedly a 30 for 30 is in the works as well...

Watching GameDay wrap up on Sunday, at least a few times plays by various players were referred to as "Heisman-like" but LSU players made almost the exact same plays with no such reference. One in particular was a run almost exactly like LFs run. They (espn, other media) definitely have their favorites and those that they are very hesitant to give praise.

They do it on purpose. They know how insecure fans are.

1) i actually saw the SECN talk about the shutout streak last night.
2) it's great if it gives our D confidence but a shutout streak against a FCS team and ULM.....i mean...c'mon man. let's get a streak going in the SEC and then we can crow about it.

If LSU was a gay 7th round pick to the Rams I bet the media would care

People like offense and freshman and sophomores showing they can play. People don't like boring defensive games and playing it safe. Not sure what you people don't understand about this.
