Weddings and funerals are the two biggest wastes of money in life. I'd say weddings are slightly worse.
I'm stunned at how many people disagree with this after reading through the responses BTW. Are you guys really superstitious enough to think that paying $15k for a freaking coffin is a good decision? And another $3k for the service? Such a waste.

Wow, I agree with you again.
As someone who has buried two brothers at a young age, 24 and 34, and was the person who made all the arrangements because my parents were to grieved to do it themselves, there is no human that is lower than a funeral director selling coffins.
People are being raped and it's a crying shame.
Look how fast they shut down the monks on the northshore that were making inexpensive coffins.
