Mexico, Distrito Federal, also referred to as "DF" or "Day Effe." Easily the most dangerous place in Mexico and one of the most dangerous places in the world.

Been to China twice, but wasn't overly concerned about anything until I went to Tiananmen Square. When a group of Americans show up and start taking pictures and standing in one spot for to long the guards get a little jumpy.
Living where I do in Memphis pretty much prepared me to go anywhere most would call scary excluding the middle east.

People joke, but white trash meth places in rural area can be quite dangerous. Just look from true Detective

No doubt. Those are some of the most evil places in this country. I'd walk my white arse through the projects any day before going through a meth head filled trailer park in the middle of nowhere

Been to a few; mogadishu, somalia is at the top but also Olangapo City, PI has some bad areas and Crenshaw BLVD during the Rodney King Riots when were were on loan to the LAPD's Rampart division, and I was on a prisoner escort detail for a deserter in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay. We just took a cab to the police station, picked the guy up and flew with him back to the embassy in Ascuncion and then on to the states. There were no problems but we were warned ahead of time how dangerous this region is.

Liberty Square Miami. When I worked at the court house downtown I had to go there a few times. You get used to the gun shots.
I used to take Sistrunk Blvd in Fort Lauderdale as a short cut, thats another place you want to avoid.

Sketchy area of El Paso.
Charter boat out of Destin when a freaky strong thunderstorm popped up. Tight butthole to say the least.

Retired Marine. Tikrit and the tribal areas of the Hindu Kush were dangerous as well. My sister is a crack whore and she lives in Camden, NJ and I visited her once as well.

I've been to Iraq twice, so that is by far the most dangerous place I've been.
I've been to a few "hoods" and never really felt threatened, but one time I got lost in Houston, I got out of my car to go in a gas station and was told to get back in my car by a few mexican gentleman, . This was after Katrina and my car had Louisiana plates.
