If you think that a team can just line up and run the power I without ever spending game time working on it, then you should just become an aTm fan.

but we didn't run well out of this formation

we just ran until they were tired. that's not working on running from the formation, that's working on waiting for our superior depth and talent to take over. we won't have that sort of an advantage against a real team (which we have many on our schedule)

Ever wonder why their 'system' fails when it is time to control clock and dominate the line of scrimmage?

you're not even reading the words that are being typed about the offense

Sounds like they needed to work on it then.

last night we didn't give them many reps in the very things they need to work on in order to improve

We controlled the line and established field position all night. That is a big part of running our system well.

And that is the result of running it well. You don't just wear a team down in the 4th quarter by waiting till the 4th quarter to do so.

And why is aTm's system your gold standard? Last I checked our system has been better than their's.

Here is my theory.... Les basis everything around turnovers so if he can play conservative and beat a team he will especially a less talented team like ULM. The greatest single factor in upsets is the turnover margin and Les would rather be unprepared for the Alabamas than get upset by any less talented team. He's "10 win Les" for a reason and that is because he doesn't take chances against lesser opponents and that usually leads to unprepared offenses against good opponents which lead to the 2-3 losses a year.
