My ex got to deal with the beauty that is BRPD traffic directing tonight. Parked by the law school and was trying to get back to Riverbend. Ended up downtown and made it home 2 hours and 5 minutes after she left the game. It was her first game, and she said she won't be going to another one because of the fricked up way they deal with traffic

Eta: And then you hear them and lsu bragging about how proud they are of the traffic directing after games. Complete fricking clusterfrick. I haven't ever been to any event in my life that had worse traffic flow than after a lsu game

How is her inability to read a parking map BRPD's fault?

BRPD has been showing their arse lately, but when you park on the northeast side of campus and need to get to the southwest of campus, it isn't exactly going to happen.

It really isn't that bad if you park on the side of campus that takes you in the direction you need to get home. And I posted on the Scoreboard that it appears as there were some positive changes from last week on my side of campus.

As it should when you're trying to go opposite of the contraflow.

Which would be great if there were more free parking lots on the South side of campus. My roommate parked near Kirby Smith and had to go downtown before turning around toward Brightside.

The largest number of free spots are on the south side of campus

Did she even tell them about the important shite she had to do right after the game was over?

That's much further away

I think. I don't know, I'm drunk. I was just pissed I couldn't drive from Kirby Smith to Freds after the game, and no I wasn't drunk then.

Off topic, will there be a Golfergate at A&M?

Won't take you 1+ hour to get to Brightside.

Damn, can't make it to Auburn. Guess we'll have to hope A&M is hospitable to us

Why wouldn't cops drive drunk? Professional courtesy gets them out of the DUI.

In general cops are some of the most aggressive and shitty drivers on the road. Especially when they are off duty (look for the thin-blue line sticker, that's the one that means 'hey cop, I'm a cop, too, so if you give me a ticket, my cops friends will tell your cop friends about it and then you won't have any cop friends.').

She just doesn't know the best way to go.

First off - don't park that close in if you want to get out quickly. Unless you are the one hosting the tailgate there is no need to park as close as the law school.

Second off - try to take the back roads. Avoid Nicholson entirely.

This is what I would suggest:

LINK

Seriously, it never takes more than 20 minutes to get to I-10 for us - no matter how big the game or when we leave.

EDIT - though you're just kinda fricked being that close to campus - you could get off I-10 at essen and go all the way to river road and come up against the flow of game traffic on river road. Its a bit of driving but it will be less than 2 1/2 hours for sho!
