Hell, Bush Sr's "Read my lips..." had more impact than that.

Everybody President lied about that. Except Washington, arguably.

Sounds like the bigger presidential lie than the one in your OP.

That was not a lie at the time it was said. He had no intention to raise taxes but was fooled by the Dems into trading it for a non existent spending cut. He got double crossed.

An analogy... if you get married and vow to stay married to your wife 'until death do us part' and then 5 years later your wife has an affair with the entire Baltimore Ravens football team. And you divorce her. Did you tell a lie?

No divorce necessary since she likely wouldn't have made it through the entire Ravens team before getting pummeled to death (most likely on the elevator ride up to one of their digs...) Don't mess with the Ravens or you'll get "The Ray-Ray Treatment"...

Given the fact that it's an ABSOLUTE lie, it's at least tied with several others as the biggest lie.

What's really pathetic is the motivation behind it. Obama is one of the biggest Muslim apologists on the planet. Here's a man who told the person he put in charge of NASA, "One of your top priorities is to highlight the significant contributions that Muslims have made to America's space program." Really, Mr. Obama?

Obama doesn't like any situation where the Muslim people's propensity for violence is once again put on display. Therefore, he has now gone to the preposterous extent of basically saying that any act of violence by a Muslim group must not be laid at the feet of Islam, because anybody (or group) that would commit such violence, by definition, can't be real Muslims. Obviously, that's insane.

Funny, but Mr. Obama doesn't seem to be very consistent here. Remember that lone nutjob who shot up a Jewish center in Missouri a few months ago? That ONE PERSON? Go back and check out Mr. obama's remarks about what that ONE PERSON did. You can check that out for yourself if you don't remember, but the tone was quite different, and the overreach was in an entirely different direction.

I haven't independently verified this, but I heard the other day that something like 45-47 different Muslim groups have committed violence and killed other people in the name of Islam. What about those groups, Mr. Obama? Are we to ignore the 3,000 pound gorilla in the room EVERY TIME?

Okay, let's get semantic

Define biggest for me; and let me know on which scale will this measurement be taken?

Most egregious and most easily disprovable or disputable. I'm not sure this can be quantified, sorry.

That's actually a true statement...do you think people who believe they are enabled by a god to kill have ever believed they were killing "innocents"?

Now that's an interesting take. So another way of putting it would be "All the people killed by religion were guilty." Is that what he meant? I hadn't thought of it that way.

It's a comment on the absurdity of religion...religion is the big lie...someone's opinion about what a religions stance on "righteous" murder is, is just an opinion. A stupid one.

could be the same for Obama's office oath. Or Obama thinking you could keep your doctor.

Surely you can see that?

What is or isn't a lie when it comes to politics for most is perception. It depends on the disposition and biases of the person...."Bush lied, people died (Iraqi WMD)", "No new taxes", "You can keep your doctor", "I did not have sexual relations with that woman". People are generally dishonest with others and themselves.

What about the 40-something OTHER Muslim groups which have committed violence and killed people in the name of Islam?

As I said above, are we supposed to ignore the 3,000 pound gorilla in the room EVERY TIME?

Anybody have the guts to give an honest response to the reality Muslims have demonstrated a propensity for violence far more so than any other group?

He made the stance! He's the one deciding whether they are righteously Islamic or not.
