use to be the greatest country

I guess they were insensative

quote:

Why would that tweet be so destructive? Well, as Twitchy reported, the #WhyIStayed hashtag was sparked by the surfacing of a beyond disturbing video of Ray Rice abusing his then-fiancee (now wife) Janay Rice. Why did she stay with an abuser? Brave women tried to explain by telling their own heartbreaking stories on Twitter Monday under the hashtags #WhyIStayed and #WhyILeft.

So, you see, DiGiorno’s tweet was outrageous and people had reason to be enraged.

I'm not gonna get outraged about the tweet or outraged about the outrage. Everything is gonna be okay.

People are pathetic. Was it stupid? Yes. Is it a big deal? Freaking no.

Just the headline of the article is everything wrong with the media

quote:

DiGiorno Pizza enrages with outrageous hashtag tweet

Words like these have no meaning anymore because people are "enraged" and "outraged" about everything

ETA: I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the comments under the article. Lots of people criticizing the people for getting worked up over nothing...maybe there is hope.

If you ignore the self-righteous thought police SJW's, they lose their power.

Whoever runs their twitter account should do a little more research in to which hashtags are trending before jumping in with a commercial.

In a sane world their explanation and apology would have ended the issue.
Who knows what DiGiorno's will have to sacrifice in order to not be shamed out of business.

I hate people sometimes

Do people just look for random shite to be offended / outraged by?

If you're going to bother with being pissed, at least make it for a good reason.

Obviously all companies need to keep some 15 year old girls on staff to report on the latest ongoings in the Twittersphere, in order to avoid offending whatever trending group that has laid claim to a hashtag.
