You can get tickets outside the stadium. For 2007 Florida we got 7 tickets outside the stadium for no more than $100 each. Though not all of the tickets were in the same section. The trick is to wait until the gates open. That's when people start getting rid of tickets right outside the stadium. I did the same thing at the 2009 Florida game. Got two tickets together lower bowl 35 yard line for $100 each.
This sounds too good to be true. Obviously there's a good deal of risk with this strategy. Would other posters recommend a similar course of action? We don't mind splitting up.

Definitely risky, but I'd like your chance. There are always people trying to drop tickets, and the closer to kickoff the cheaper the tickets get

A lot of times, at tailgates you might score some tix...a lot of peeps get to tailgate and decide to sit (too drunk) there instead of going to game...maybe not so much with da gumps coming in, but, there is a chance...
And if you haven't booked rooms in BR by now, you may need a sleeping bag and a tent...

A lot of people in here have know idea what they're talking about when it comes to tickets outside the stadium. I always wait to buy them and have never paid more than $50 for a single ticket. That includes Alabama and South Carolina in 2012. Yes, single tickets are cheaper than pairs or groups, but I think you could still find them for under $200 outside the stadium.
