ETA - This will sound stupid, but I kinda want to find out what a bite feels like. Not from a 7 foot Eastern Diamondback or anything like that, but maybe my Pygmy Rattler or a Copperhead. Though I'm sure I'd regret it afterwards.

I say more power to him.
I hope he takes a video for everyone to watch.

Why would anyone ever....never mind

I'm starting to think the guy is a fraud. Always talks about handling snakes but has never posted a pic besides some snakes in a tank. Also has contradicted himself several times

He posted a picture of himself holding a green devil monster that he bought in lafayette or some shite.

And got mad when people started ragging on him for owning exotic snakes in the us.

And now he WANTS to get bitten by a venomous snake. What a dumb dumb.

Where did I contradict myself?
Oh, and…
Oh, and…

Is there a link that works?

In my defense, here was my post, in context. It was in response to the "Do you know anyone bitten by a venomous snake?" thread.
quote:
My dad was bitten by a Cottonmouth when he was a teenager. My uncle was bitten around 3 times by venomous snakes, and once by a Gila monster. That one almost put him down. I used to love when we'd go the the snake farm on Hwy. 90 around Slidell back in the day. Lots of guys hanging around there who were missing a couple fingers. I've always been careful on which snakes I handled, but I take more risks now that I'm done practicing dentistry and don't need my fingers as much. It's a rush bare-handing a venomous snake. I've said this before, but I equate it to when I raced motocross and would eye up a 60-70 foot jump for the first time. You know and fear the consequences, adrenaline is pumping and your a-hole is puckering, and you just go for it. Everyone should try it some time. My wife finally wore me down on my pet rattler, so I'm getting rid of it when I pick up my Jungle Jag Carpet Python next weekend. Though I'm sure I'd regret it afterwards.

Yeah that makes it better...

I did say "kinda."
While I'm curious to know what it feels like, I'm obviously not committed enough to the experience to go get bitten by my rattler at the moment. But the risk and consequences of a bite are not enough to keep me from fooling with them. That being said, I'm always careful enough to the point that I haven't taken a hit yet. You'd be hard pressed to find a more responsible snake owner, and I'm not some redneck hick. My intelligence is in the 99th percentile. I'm not concerned about winning any Darwin awards in the future.

I think it does. A call out thread on the OB? Really?
