Gailey failed at every stop, but kept getting jobs. Blows my mind.

He was the epitome of a 7-5 coach. In fact, EDSBS called it the Chan Gailey Equilibrium.

Paul Johnson's recruiting has been better each year.. top. 25 right now

Rivals has them there because of the number of recruits. Once signing day gets closer a bunch of 3 stars won't be good enough for a top 25 class.

GA Tech since 1980-

Bill Curry = 31-43 42%
Bobby Ross = 31-26 54%
Bill Lewis = 11-19 36%
George O'Leary= 52-33 61%
Chan Gailey= 44-32 57%

Interim Coaches McMorter & Tenuta went 1&1

Paul Johnson 49-32 61%

It's in the heart of Atlanta. Ole PJ hasn't done well on the recruiting trail.

His one ACC title which was vacated, was done using Chan's players

Damn, a 4 page thread about Tech's football team? That's more interest in their football team than I have and I went there, but then again I didn't pick where I went to school based on how good the football team was. It's a fine school and the campus is a lot better than when I went 35 years ago. Yep, solidly top 10 engineering school, with a few programs rated #1, just terrible

Tech alum and fan here. I've been over CPJ for 2-3 years now. Really depresses me to see fans here or elsewhere defend him and think we shouldn't make a change. Loser mentality if you ask me

It doesn't "feel" like a college campus at all.

Maybe you and and bouncing Betty and your complete Dawg bias have different opinions.

I'd rather be on a "traditional" campus as well which is why I chose LSU, but her classification is ridiculous.

Ever hear of NYU, Columbia, Yale, Duke?

Finally, Athens is as hood as any city in Georgia absent the University. It boarders on some very sketchy areas.

Because this will be his last year at Georgia Tech. If he makes it all year, I will be surprised

Time for Tech to move on from him

I think he will be back at GTech, this isn't Nebraska after all.
