Plea to the LSU Student Section

It seems like every year there is more and more criticism regarding our student section. Hopefully students will see this thread and turnaroud what many fans/alumni consider to be a decline in their "performance" on gameday. Here are 5 points/suggestions, that can restore the LSU student section back to the best in the country:
1. Fill up the entire student section - Rain or shine, early or late, Sam Houston or Bama, it shouldn't matter. You have 7-8 home games a year to make Tiger Stadium the #1 home field environment in the country. I remember an Oregon St game around 04 where it stormed and delayed the game for at least an hour. The student section then all stayed, even though they were soaked and made a ton of noise the entire game.
Please fill up that gap at the top. It looks terrible on tv and in person. I saw that article about student attendance slipping all over the country. This is LSU. We should not have to worry about our students not showing up for games and leaving big holes in the section.
2. Don't Leave Early - If we are up 70-0 this weekend in the 4th, I get it, but if we are up by 14 against Miss St, then stay. This weekend you should get a chance to see guys like Brandon Harris, Clifton Garrett, Jamal Adams, Ed Paris, etc...in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Stay and watch them play. These are your classmates. Support them.
Most students didn't have drive to the game or at least that far, so traffic is not an excuse. I guarantee your fraternity party and tigerland will still be rocking once the game is over. You guys have cell phones anyways, so you can meet up with that girl or guy after the game.
3. Don't be vulgar - Screaming sttdb or "you suck" or whatever else you guys do may seem clever, but it's pretty lame. In case you haven't figured it out yet, vulgar chants remove songs played by the Tiger Band and give us more piped in shinedown and seven nation army. Individually screaming it is one thing, but organized only hurts the entire crowds stadium experience.
4. Don't play on your phones the whole time - I hate when I watch games and they span the student section (of all teams, not just LSU) and half the kids are scrolling through facebook. Watch the game and make noise. The game is going on right in front of you, not on facebook.
5. Slow Down on the LSU chants and clapping - I am talking about pace not quantity. When I was a student, the clapping during the band's pregame was on point and synchronized well. Now it gets way too fast way too quick and ruins it.
Same thing with the LSU chants. The students' pace is a little too fast, and they end long before they should.
Hopefully you guys will heed this advice, and bring the LSU student section back to the best one in the country like it was in the recent past. I was a student once too and know how it is, but you guys will eventually regret leaving early, yelling un-clever things, checking facebook, etc... and not being the #1 student section in the country.

Wisdom cannot be absorbed when spoken to those with deaf ears.........you can't tell a college student anything.....they already know everything.

I'd rather them be vulgar than leave early, TBH.

3. Don't be vulgar
It's been that way for decades.
More televised games and better microphones brought it to light over the last 10 years.

So the students gave a big F U to Les Miles and Joe Alleva on these same type of pleas but I guess they are going to listen to some guy named PurpleandGoldmember on tigerdroppings.com

On another note if I were a student, which I'm not but I was in the not too distant past, I'd laugh at some dude named PurpleandGoldmember lecturing me to be honest with you.

No one at an LSU game looks at their phone because they are useless in Death Valley. This year, it is alleged to be better. I doubt that it will be, though--lots of volume.

Who gives a shite what you hate? These kids are supposed to think, "Wait, if I text my buddy PurpleandGoldmember might have a bad experience"?
