Hate those fricking things, my latest was one they set at the bottom of a steep dip. The speed decreased for about 100 feet, an obvious trap. It won't damage you credit much, but you will have to pay it off before purchasing a house, might as well make payments, crooked as it is.

I still can't believe that people don't vandalize these damn things. If they were tagged with black spray paint immediately and repeatedly they'd have been out of our lives by now.

They CAN, but all you have to do is call the credit bureau and demand a copy of the promissory note... They will subsequently remove it from your credit.

Those cameras are unconstitutional. You have the right to face your accuser in court, and in this instance, your accuser is a camera. I have a friend who is a police officer and he even explained why its unconstitutional. Most people just want to pay it to get it done and over with.

I believe it was in Dallas that I read only 50% of those things get paid and the camera company was considering shutting them down because they weren't making enough money.

Now, here's the Sixth Amendment. Let's see if you're smart enough to put two and two together:

Another misconception. Under Texas law, it is illegal for the "camera companies" to get a per-ticket fee. If they give one ticket or a thousand a day, they get the same amount of money.
