Maybe not charged criminally. But civilly he'll be able to sue the dog piss out of walmart.
And again, what material good could he have stolen to provoke that kind of response? Those two guys were just gung-ho about it. They had a complex.

We are good bro but come on man.
You are blaming the LP guys instead of the thief who was the one who escalated the situation.
Yes situations like this are why Walmart doesn't want their employees trying to physically restrain suspects or follow them outside. The legal fees alone will be through the roof.
