Denzel Perryman, a Saints potential target at pick #32?

I'm a casual Miami fan and I have followed Perryman ever since he stepped on campus. This guy will be an all pro linebacker in the NFL. Many people around the school have said he's the greatest backer they've had since Ray Lewis. That's very high praise and well deserving. I think he'll be a perfect fit next to Lofton in our 3-4; he blitzes, plays the run and can cover exceptionally well.
A defense with Cam Jordan, Byrd, KV, Keenan Lewis, Akeem Hicks (deserves to be mentioned with this group), and Perryman is something to fap about

What did you see that I did?

That was an awesome play he had cutting through the hole in the lines and demolishing the RB. If you're right about his coverage ability, then I'd be down. I still maintain that ILB is one of the least important positions on defense (especially when you have a do-it-all guy like KV at safety), but I see our only "need" for next offseason being ILB and MAYBE OG if either Evans or Grubbs is a cap casualty. Linebacker is one of the easier positions to transition from college to the NFL, so that would be the easiest way to get an impact player at the end of the 1st.

I'm watching that game as well and he's been extremely impressive. I think a LB is a top need but CB as well

If you like him and want him to succeed, you probably don't want the saints to draft him.

OR
That we get the pick from the eventual Super Bowl winner....
(the Raiders)
There's plenty of college football to be played this year, let's give the CFB players a year to work on their resumes.

I like the idea of having at least one absolute stud at every position group. Seems like it's been a while since Saints had anything but a group of avg/slightly above avg linebacking core.
God you have to love just thinking of the days of the dome patrol.
It's fricking fappining... Jackson, Sam, Vaughan, Swilling.....

Perryman is a beast for sure but if we are talking LBs, I want Shaq Thompson at UW.

Walter Mock has him mocked to us in the second round

Here's more help for the defense. Curtis Lofton wasn't the worst starting linebacker in the NFL this past year, but he was close. He's atrocious and needs to be upgraded immediately.

ummmmm....The defense as a whole was an absolute shite show....Lofton was one of a few players that actually played with fire and did his job.
Is he on the decline, yes, but by no means was he the worst LB in the league..
That being said, I would FAP like hell if we got Perryman in the 2nd

Yeah Walter usually mocks good players, but he doesn't really have a great feel for the real issues on all 32 rosters. Lofton was middle of the pack as a linebacker. Hawethorne was the actual problem.

Good thing we didn't win super bowl and can get him in 2nd now
