Prepare thy anus, dolphins

Speaking Monday, Rob Gronkowski (knee) said he will play in Sunday's game against the Dolphins.Gronkowski says he has received the green light for Week 1. "I'm ready to go. I'll be playing. ... I feel like I can be myself out there. ... I'll be playing like I always play." It will be Gronk's first game action since tearing his ACL and MCL in Week 14 of last year, but owners should obviously get him in lineups right away. The Patriots are clearly comfortable with his health and Gronkowski has scored a remarkable 42 touchdowns in 50 career regular season games.Source: Jeff Howe on TwitterS

Rob Gronkowski (knee) admitted he won't play every snap in Sunday's Week 1 game against the Dolphins.Gronk is still less than eight months removed from surgery to repair his ACL and MCL, so just being active on Sunday is a major accomplishment. "Definitely not [playing] every single snap. But just get out there, get my feet wet, whatever we game-plan this week, will be good," he said. Note that Gronk only played on 59.4 percent of the snaps in his first three games off an elbow injury last year. He still produced 19 catches, 284 yards and one touchdown during that span.

Now it's time for the media to question how many snaps he will play

I passed on him early in the 4th as I didn't feel like the risk was appropriate even though the reward is extremely high. Gronk may end up making me eat that, but starting on a snap count is actually on schedule with what was being factored into his ADP. It should be an interesting ride all season for those who took a shot with him.

Gronk on a snap count is better than most TE's. Vegas odds have the over/under on games played by Gronk at 14.5. I am sure they will monitor him the first 2-4 games to make sure he gets back to full health, but the risk is definitely worth it.
I think he stays healthy enough to turn in a top 3 season.

I would have taken Gronk in the 5th. It wasn't worth it to me passing up either Antonio Brown or Andre Ellington in a PPR in the 3rd/4th. But again, he might make me eat that.
