Jennings Now or Jordan Jefferson as a Senior. Who Is Better?

I was thinking about this earlier.
I would take Jennings right now over JJ his Jr/Sr years. I actually trust Jennings more and think that he can run the team better. I also think that he runs better.
Jennings has not been very impressive statistically, but I think that he is a better QB than the guy who helped LSU win some huge games a few years ago.
I would not have said that before last night, though. I didn't see anything in the bowl game that made me think we would see what we saw last night. That tells me that he still has a lot of room for improvement.
Remember, Jennings has yet to start/play in games in consecutive weeks.
Arkansas
5 weeks
Bowl game versus Iowa
3 months
Spring Game
5 months
Wisconsin Game
He has taken on more and more in each game. What if he keeps improving?

I don't recall JJ ever leading a 17 pt. comeback against a ranked opponent on a prime time telecast. So, advantage AJ!

AJ's cup is half full, JJ's cup is half empty

I think it's a bit early to make any kind of a decision on this

Jennings is much more capable of making reads and keeping his eyes on receivers if a play breaks down than JJ ever was imo.
Jennings is going to be a solid option once he settles in.

Jennings had a much better game 1 "now" that Jefferson had in his senior season.

I agree but I thought he started looking like a QB in the second half. A couple more games and I now believe that he will prove that he is an SEC QB.

Jennings always keeps his eye downfield.
He's got a high ceiling.

Jennings. Better instincts in the pocket and running. Better control on throws and Jennings will likely be better on the screen passes by the next game.

Anthony by a lot. But Cameron and his adjustments or also a major reason for that.

AJ has the benefit of Cam as OC....means if he shows up he is ahead of JJ

This is probably true to an extent. I think AJ has a better field presence and is a better leader than Jordan which isn't something that can really be taught. Nobody on the team ever seemed to buy in to Jordan Jefferson
It would've been interesting to see JJ with actual competent qb coaching. He had the physical ability to be a good player.

Different coaching then. I don't think the comparisons are really fair to Jordan Jefferson.

not that jj would have ever been great, but studrawa and crowton didn't help him any.

Our running backs are the best crew in the nation. To take away from their carries more than a couple of times a game would be criminal.

Couldn't agree more. Jennings looks downfield to a fault. Sometimes he just needs to commit to a tuck and run.

Making reads
Actually that's one of two things JJ had an advantage IMO. JJ had a stronger arm and was much better at reading the option. Jennings actually missed a lot of reads last night i.e. handing when he should've kept/keeping when he should've handed.

This makes no sense
The question involves AJ now
Not later. Now
There is no better time to make a NOW decision on something than NOW. Actually, there is no other time at all
