Yea we don't need any DTs. What was I thinking

We have three that didn't play last night for one reason or another and had another freshman that looked pretty good in the time he was in.

It isn't a stretch to think they're all going to contribute more than a guy who's never even gone through a workout with the team, much less a practice or a game.

What's one more wrong statement.

Assuming Clark is a DT (I forget if he's a DT or DE, lol). Tashawn Bower and Lewis Neal also played but they're DEs. Really need to get a couple more of these tackles going.

Clark and Bower played end, Neal played tackle.

We used several DEs at the DT position last night, including Danielle Hunter.

We walked LBs up to the line often too, especially Lamar Louis.

I haven't re-watched yet, but DT and MLB were positions I keyed on, and Herron and Gilmore were never seen by me.

One has to think that Gilmore, Bain and Herron will get their act together by the end of our two week cupcake run.

Hope this is not a repeat of last year where we only used three or four DTs.

Can someone confirm that Lewis Neal was a DT, last night? I thought he was a DE. If he was a dt, then was he in the 3rd and long downs?

Neal got a few snaps at DT in the normal base defense. Miles confirmed he was moved there after the Thomas injury.

The poster above mentioned Hunter at DT, but that was part of a 3rd down rush package with Rasco and Kwon at DE.

I never saw him either. All you heard about was how great he looked in practice and how he had beaten out Thomas, but he never saw the field.

We need him on the program, no one said otherwise. Thinking he is going to contribute this season given the situation is ignorant.

I agree Burt , I miss our old DT's. Not saying we don't have anyone capable now, just can't wait til he shows up. Godchaux did pretty well for a freshman .

he is listed as 6'3" and 6'4" 315 to 325 lbs and runs a sub 5 40 (if that is true); highlights are impressive

had 31 tfl and 16 sacks as a senior; those are tremendous stats. not only might he be able to contribute, he might be able to really clog up the line like no one LSU has had in quite some time

is he on campus and enrolled yet?

Ready to hear Les's press conference tomorrow to find out the latest on what happened with Herron and how long Robinson and Bain will be out for. Hopefully these things will be addressed or asked about.
