Yeah, make people into criminals for doing something they're all going to do anyway.

Per Wiki.

As a high school senior I could buy alcohol legally but as a college freshman, sophomore, and junior I couldn't. That sucked.

If you can vote
If you can drive
If you can die for your country,
If you can be charged as an adult...

You deserve to be able to buy a beer like one.

And maybe some third world countries as well. Honestly, it really opened my eyes living in a third world communist country on what I could get away with over there compared to what I could get away with here. Yeah they're bad against free speech and ideas, but as far as trying to control day to day minute bullshite that only serves to line the government's wallet, America's "freedoms" are an absolute joke. If you look at the shite we could get away with a century ago compared to now, it makes my head spin.

Why did we have these so-called liberties taken from us? It's not for safety, it's because corrupt bureaucrats figured they could frick us out of more money as a whole in the name of safety, and that's what we've been doing ever since our government figured that out, and it's just a matter of time (if we're not there already) that the land of the free becomes the land of the cowardly pussies who will give up anything in the name of safety.

The laws in this country are fricking ridiculous, and go to Europe and realize how fricked up our laws actually are in this country. Anyone who has lived abroad could not say that this country is "the land of the free" with a straight face. It comes from sheer ignorance to say such a stupid statement.

It's also because the majority of people would rather trade other people's liberty away for perceived social order.

My daughter is a Soph at Indiana University. I moved her in her apt near campus last week. She needs to find a part time job this semester. At one point I wondered if I could buy about 50 cases of beer and let her sell them raking in a huge profit. Then reality hit and I considered her losing her scholarship, breaking the law and my exposure in the situation.

She tells me under age kids pay $15.00 for a 6 pack on weekends. Made me ill.

Then she's doing it wrong. I don't know how you could spend that much for a six pack. Aside from a bar, I've never paid that much for a 6 pack.

at 27 I paid $20 one time for a 6 pack of Abita, I didn't have any alternatives. I had very good reason too. I'll never forget that night. Sometimes I even have to think back on it,..I miss her sometimes.

She doesn't like beer. She isn't buying it. Just what she heard. She was home this Summer. She had all the girly girl wine and crap she wanted with her mom while she was in my house and not driving. I admit I wasn't very responsible but I think she is. My wife and I have modeled responsible drinking behavior. My parents didn't drink and were strict about it. When I turned 18 I went nuts.

Thanks for the compliment. She is majoring in Music so..... I am not so sure about raising her right LOL. She is responsible and drives a 2001 Buick Century hand me down work car with over 200K miles. I told her she needed to get use to her "new normal" as a music major. We live pretty comfortably and it bothers me she won't. I preached and preached to no avail.

Thanks again!
